How much is Jack Conte worth in 2026?
We estimate Jack Conte’s net worth at about $260 million. This is a rough estimate: little of the money is documented. We know what Patreon pays out and charges. We do not know what the company is worth today, his share of it, or whether he has sold any. The ledger separates the two.
How Jack Conte built it
- Launched Patreon in 2013. He announced it on 7 May 2013 with co-founder Samuel Yam.
- Took a cut of creator pay. Patreon charges 8 to 12 percent, and creators have now earned over $10 billion.
- Stayed a working musician. He formed Pomplamoose in 2008 and still runs a YouTube channel.

| Source | Our estimate | What it rests on |
|---|---|---|
| Patreon stake | $240 million | TechCrunch reported a $4 billion valuation in April 2021, the last one we could find. We assume it is worth half that today, $2.0 billion, which is also about twice the roughly $1 billion in fees we calculate on the $10 billion creators have earned. We assume Conte owns 12 percent. Both are assumptions, and 12 percent of $2.0 billion is $240 million. |
| Cash from pay and share sales | $15 million | Pay and any secondary share sales are not public. Assumption. |
| Music and YouTube | $2 million | He started the band Pomplamoose in 2008 and his YouTube channel has 327 thousand subscribers. Income is not public. Assumption. |
| Total | $257 million | Sum of the rows above, rounded to $260 million. |
Ninety-three percent of the total is one assumed stake ($240 million of $257 million). If the company is worth $1.0 billion the headline falls to about $137 million. At the 2021 price of $4.0 billion with a 12 percent stake it rises to about $497 million, which is the top of our range.
$413 million raised, $10 billion paid out
The company’s public history lists $2.1 million raised in August 2013, a $15 million Series A in June 2014 and a $30 million Series B in January 2016, for $47.1 million through that date. Tubefilter put the total at $413.3 million after a $155 million round in April 2021. Patreon’s own site now says creators have earned more than $10 billion, with over 300,000 creators and more than 10 million paying members. By our calculation, $10 billion at a 10 percent commission is $1.0 billion of fees, about 2.4 times the $413.3 million raised (1,000 divided by 413.3).
From $100 million to $10 billion
In January 2017 Patreon had sent over $100 million to creators since it launched in May 2013. The total is now about 100 times that, in nine years and ten months. Our calculation of fees on that growth is only as good as the commission: Patreon takes 8 to 12 percent, and changed its pricing in June 2025 to 10 percent for new creators.
A hard year
Patreon reported over 80 million users in April 2026, though not all pay. A TechCrunch headline from January 2026 said Apple told Patreon to move creator subscriptions to in-app purchase by November. TechCrunch reported on 23 July 2026 that Patreon was cutting about 20 percent of its workforce, roughly 93 people. These are the reasons we assume half the 2021 valuation, a price struck more than five years ago.
Why other estimates disagree
Public estimates tend to quote the 2021 valuation and assume a founder share without showing it. Some also treat all pledges as the company’s revenue, when creators receive roughly nine-tenths of the money.
What would move the number
The Apple deadline of November 2026, a new funding round or tender offer, a sale of the company, or a disclosed ownership table. Any of these would replace our two assumptions with a number.
