Marc Lore’s net worth is estimated at $2.3 billion as of November 2026, in a range of $1.2 billion to $3.5 billion.

In July 2026 his food company Wonder raised more than $650 million at a $9 billion valuation, which is almost three times what Walmart paid for Jet.com, the company he sold in 2016 and which Walmart announced it was shutting in May 2020. Lore sold Diapers.com to Amazon, sold Jet to Walmart and now runs Wonder, and that is where most of the money is. This is a rough estimate: his ownership share of each company is not public.

How much is Marc Lore worth in 2026?

This one is a rough estimate. The sale prices of his two earlier companies are documented, and Wonder now has a priced round, but his share of each company is not. We estimate $2.3 billion. Public estimates differ because they apply different stakes to Wonder, use an older valuation or count the sale prices as his own money.

How Marc Lore built it

  • Sold two companies. Diapers.com went to Amazon for $545 million and Jet.com to Walmart for $3.3 billion.
  • Took a big job after. He ran Walmart e-commerce after the Jet deal and was reported to receive $244 million in pay.
  • Reinvested in new bets. He backed Archer Aviation in 2021 and has put money into every Wonder funding round.

How we got to $2.3 billion

Source Our estimate What it rests on
Diapers.com sale (2011) About $200 million Amazon paid $545 million, according to his biography. We assume Lore owned about 37 percent.
Jet.com sale (2016) About $600 million Walmart agreed to acquire Jet.com for $3.3 billion on 8 August 2016. A Bloomberg headline in April 2017 said he got $244 million in pay after the deal. We assume that sits inside a total of about $600 million, or 18 percent of the price.
Wonder stake About $1.8 billion Fortune reported a round of more than $650 million at a $9 billion valuation in July 2026, and said Lore has invested in every round. His percentage is not public. We assume 20 percent, which is $1.8 billion; at 10 percent the row halves and at 30 percent it is $2.7 billion.
Timberwolves and Lynx About $100 million ESPN reported that the NBA’s owners approved the $1.5 billion sale in June 2025, to a group led by Lore and Alex Rodriguez that also includes Michael Bloomberg and Eric Schmidt. His share is our assumption, valued at cost.
Archer and Vision Capital People About $35 million He announced a further $10 million investment in Archer Aviation in 2021, and the VCP fund launched with $50 million of his and Rodriguez’s own money, per the same biography. We assume he put in half, $25 million. Valued at cost.
Tax on the two sales Minus $190 million About 24 percent of $800 million.
Cash already in Wonder Minus $250 million Assumption. He has put money into every Wonder round, and a report put his 2026 cheque at $200 million, which he did not confirm. We remove $250 million of sale proceeds so that cash is not counted twice.
Total About $2.3 billion $200 + $600 + $1,800 + $100 + $35 – $190 – $250 = $2,295 million.

The $244 million and the shut-down

Our calculation: $244 million is 7.4 percent of the $3.3 billion price, so even the reported pay alone was nearly one dollar in thirteen of what Walmart spent. Walmart announced it was shutting down Jet on 19 May 2020, 3 years and 9 months after the deal, which is why we treat his Jet money as realized cash and not a mark.

One bet worth three Jets

Our calculation: at the 20 percent we assume, his Wonder stake is $1.8 billion, three times our $600 million for Jet ($1,800 million divided by $600 million) and about 66 percent of the positive rows ($1,800 million of $2,735 million). That also makes the figure fragile: each 5 points of ownership moves it by $450 million. Wonder is also a burner. Fortune cites projected cash burn of nearly $2.7 billion through 2029, and says Wonder bought Grubhub early in 2025 for $650 million including $500 million of assumed debt. A $9 billion price tag on a loss-making company is a mark, not a payout.

What would move the number

Lore told Fortune that Wonder will be ready to go public early next year, and a listing would replace our guess with a share price and a filed ownership table. The Minnesota deal is the other open item: ESPN said the sale was expected to close days after the June 2025 approval, but we have not confirmed the closing or his final share.
