Discovery Channel Founder’s Ranch Takes the World Exploration to the Next Level & You Can Buy it Now!
This is our idea of paradise: Discovery Channel Founder’s Ranch!
Located at the border of Colorado and Utah this ranch looks like a piece of heaven.
Spreading on roughly 7,000 acres, John Hendricks’ ranch comes with an observatory, and an airplane hangar.
The ranch is an assemblage of four ranches purchased by Discovery Channel founder in the 1990s.
Boasting approx. 22,000-square-foot in Southwestern Pueblo-style the home is a true getaway gem.
It features breathtaking views of the surrounding multi-colored cliffs and La Sal Mountains.
Inside the house boasts an elevator and a two-level circular stone library with a domed roof.
What about the Outside?
Well, that’s a total different story haha.
The property has an incredible swimming pool, a roughly 400-square-foot observatory with a 12-foot-wide rotating copper dome that opens.
If you are planning on inviting guests, and you will, there is a two-bedroom guest house.
The asking price?
Located in the area known for its red-rock canyons, John Hendricks is asking for $149 million for this magnificent property.
If he is going to sell it, the estate would set a new record for the region, according to listing agent Kerry Endsley of LIV Sotheby’s International Realty.
“I’ve always been interested in space and science, I can’t remember a time when I didn’t have a telescope,” said Mr. Hendricks, 65.
He built a three-bedroom log cabin just because he wanted to “enjoy hiking and being in a whole different landscape,” he said.
Also there: grass airstrip, and a barn for horses and irrigated pastures.
There are elk and deer for hunting, although Mr. Hendricks said he hunts “with my camera.” Mr. Hendricks said.
Mr. Hendricks placed the property in a permanent conservation easement, which means you can never develop it.
All things considered, this ranch looks like paradise. I would buy it. Would you?
