5. Iron Man (2008) – $140 million
For you to understand how awesome Robert Downey Jr. is, you need to know something important.
First, during pre-production, Robert set up an office next to Jon Favreau’s office to discuss his role with the director and to be more involved in the film’s screenwriting.
Second, during the filming of Iron Man, RDJ would ask for many takes of one scene because every time, he wanted to try something new.
When Robert Downey Jr. was carrying out motion-capture work on the film, he would sometimes wear the helmet, sleeves and chest of the Iron Man armor over the motion-capture suit to realistically portray Iron Man’s movements.
