There were found in her system 8mg/dL of chloral hydrate and 4.5 mg/dL of Nembutal. Cause of death? Barbiturate overdose.
Her death was recorded as a ‘probable suicide’.
However, on August 8, 1962, Marilyn Monroe was interred in a crypt, located at the Westwood Village Memorial Park Cemetery, Los Angeles.
Marilyn’s funeral took place on August 8, 1962, at 1:00 PM, a private service conducted by Reverend A.J. Soldan.
Her body was in an open bronze casket lined with champagne-colored satin.
The sex symbol was dressed in her green Pucci dress and a green chiffon scarf.
