How much is Bob Parsons Worth? Bob Parsons Net Worth in 2026
Bob Parsons’s net worth is estimated at $2.3 billion as of November 2026, within a range of $1.4 billion to $3.5 billion. He had already sold one software company, Parsons Technology, to Intuit for $64 million in 1994, about 4 percent of what his next big sale was worth on paper. That sale was GoDaddy: in July 2011 he sold about 70 percent of it to a consortium led by KKR and Silver Lake, in a deal that valued the company at $2.25 billion. He kept 29 percent, and that second piece is what many tallies miss. This is a rough estimate: his proceeds were never published.

How much is Bob Parsons worth in 2026?
We put Parsons at about $2.3 billion. The structure is simple: two GoDaddy payouts, minus tax, plus what he built afterwards, minus what he gave away. The deal value, the 29 percent he kept and the foundation’s giving are documented. His actual proceeds are not.
How Bob Parsons built it
- Sold one company, started another. After selling Parsons Technology to Intuit for $64 million in 1994, he founded GoDaddy in 1997.
- Kept buying real assets. YAM Properties paid $133 million for Westgate in 2018 and $108 million in cash for the Shops at Norterra.
- Gave away money steadily. His foundation, started in 2012, had awarded more than $296 million by 2024.

| Source | Our estimate | What it rests on |
|---|---|---|
| GoDaddy sale, July 2011 | $1.575 billion | Partly documented. Wikipedia says he sold about 70 percent to a KKR and Silver Lake consortium, and a Reuters headline cited there priced the deal at $2.25 billion. 70 percent of $2.25 billion is $1.575 billion. His exact proceeds were not published. |
| The 29 percent he kept, sold by 2018 | $1.25 billion | Partly documented. He has said he kept 29 percent, and Business of Business says he sold the rest in 2018. No sale prices are public. We assume the 2015 IPO diluted him to about 24 percent, then value that on a December 2015 prospectus: 157.48 million shares at the December 28, 2015 close of $33.19. 24 percent of that is $1.25 billion. We do not know the prices he actually got. |
| Tax on both | Minus $0.62 billion | Assumption. About 22 percent of $2.825 billion, our blend of federal capital gains rate and state tax. |
| Growth since 2011 | $0.4 billion | Assumption. PXG launched in January 2015, YAM Worldwide began in 2012 with Harley-Davidson dealerships in Arizona, Mississippi and Tennessee, and YAM Properties bought Arizona real estate. We assume the businesses and invested cash added about a third of the $1.225 billion left after tax from the 2011 sale. None of these companies publishes accounts. |
| Charity | Minus $0.35 billion | InfluenceWatch says the foundation, set up in February 2012, had awarded more than $296 million by 2024, and its 2024 return shows about $26.1 million paid out. We add two more years at that rate, about $52 million, which gives about $348 million. Bob and Renee Parsons also appear on the Giving Pledge list. |
| Total | $2.255 billion | Rounded to $2.3 billion. |
The 29 percent row moves the figure most. If he sold at the IPO price of $20 rather than $33.19, it falls by about $500 million before tax. It could also be too low, since he sold out as late as 2018 and we have no price for those sales.
Twenty-five times the first sale
By our calculation, 70 percent of the GoDaddy price ($1.575 billion) is about 25 times the $64 million Intuit paid for Parsons Technology on September 27, 1994 ($1.575 billion divided by $64 million is 24.6). It is also why we cannot lean on the headline deal value: the buyers paid for a company he had run for 14 years with the help of a lot of other people.
Where the money went next
Wikipedia lists his later purchases. He bought Scottsdale National Golf Club in September 2013 for $600,000 plus undisclosed debt and launched PXG in January 2015. In June 2018 YAM Properties bought the Westgate Entertainment District for $133 million, and a later deal for the Shops at Norterra cost $108 million in cash. Those two deals are $241 million, about 10 percent of our figure (our calculation: $241 million divided by $2.3 billion). PXG sales in 2021 were in the low nine figures, according to Business of Business.
Why other estimates disagree
Public figures for Parsons vary because nobody knows what the two GoDaddy payouts came to. Some assume the full 70 percent of the headline price, with no tax. Others stop at 2011 and miss the 29 percent he kept, or what he did afterwards. We apply tax, add a modest return and take out his giving.
What would move the figure
A filing that shows the prices he sold his remaining GoDaddy shares at would replace our biggest guess. A published ownership percentage for PXG or a sale of YAM Properties assets would help too. The latest dated event we found is his and Renee’s place on the TIME100 Philanthropy list in May 2026, not a transaction, so our estimate has not been refreshed by a recent deal.
