Colin Huang’s net worth is estimated at $28.8 billion as of November 2026. PDD Holdings, the company he founded, earned about $14 billion in 2025 and paid its shareholders nothing, so a man worth nearly $29 billion gets no dividend from his main asset. Almost all of the figure is his roughly 25 percent stake in the owner of Pinduoduo and Temu.

How much is Colin Huang worth in 2026?

About $28.8 billion, at the November 2, 2026 close. The number is arithmetic on a stock price, and it can swing by billions in a week. It treats the whole holding as his, though a family trust stands behind it: his 2021 filing describes him as the settlor and says he and family members are the beneficiaries. We credit it to him because he set the trust up and no filing we could read divides it.

Public estimates differ mainly because of the date of the share price and the share count used. Some older ones also predate his stake transfers. We don’t add a guess for outside assets, since we found nothing documented beyond an old company sale.

How Colin Huang built it

  • Sold a small company first. He sold Oku for $2.2 million in 2010, five years before starting Pinduoduo.
  • Gave away a large stake. Transfers of 12.8 percent included 2.4 percent to a charitable trust and 7.7 percent for scientific research.
  • Stepped back by 41. He left the chief executive job in 2020 and the chairman role in 2021, giving the board his votes.

How we got to $28.8 billion

Source Our estimate What it rests on
Walnut Street Investment $23.18 billion 1,134,932,140 Class A shares per Huang’s March 2021 SEC filing, the last holder filing we could open. A search excerpt of PDD’s 2024 annual report repeats the same count, and we found no later change. Four Class A shares make one ADS, so 283,733,035 ADS at the $81.68 close on November 2, 2026.
Walnut Street Management $5.61 billion 274,811,940 Class A shares, or 68,702,985 ADS, at the same price.
Oku, his earlier company $2.2 million Sold in 2010 for $2.2 million. Gross sale price, kept here because it is the only other documented money we found.
Cash dividends from PDD $0 The company says it has not declared or paid any cash dividends and has no present plan to.
Total $28.8 billion Rows sum to $28.79 billion. No tax is deducted because we found no reported sale of these shares. Any cash from past share transfers is unknown and left out.

$3.5 billion a year in profit he never sees

PDD’s annual report gives 2025 net income of RMB97.84 billion, or about $13.99 billion at the filing’s own rate of RMB6.9931 to the dollar. Huang’s 1,409,744,080 shares are 24.76 percent of the 5,693,585,848 outstanding. By our calculation his share of that profit is about $3.46 billion for the year, none of it paid out to him.

The market isn’t paying much for those earnings either. At a market value of $116.26 billion, PDD trades at about 8.3 times 2025 profit ($116.26 billion divided by $13.99 billion). If the multiple doubled with no change in profit, his stake would roughly double with it.

His stake nearly halved and he got richer

Fortune reported a 46.8 percent stake and a $29.6 billion company value when PDD started trading in July 2018. That works out to about $13.85 billion. Today he holds 24.76 percent of a company worth about four times as much, and the stake is worth about 2.1 times what it was.

Part of the drop was deliberate. When he stepped down as chief executive in July 2020, one report put his stake reduction at about $14.3 billion. Nairametrics later counted 12.8 percent in transfers, including 2.4 percent to a charitable trust and 7.7 percent to the Pinduoduo Partnership for scientific research. Twelve point eight percent of today’s market value is about $14.9 billion, ignoring changes in the share count since then. So six years on, those transfers are worth about what they were when he made them. The stock has been a long round trip.

He stepped down as chairman in March 2021 and gave the board voting rights over his shares. A 2025 report still called him the largest shareholder, with no operating job at the company.

From a Google badge to a $2.2 million exit

The son of factory workers, Huang studied computer science at Zhejiang University, took a master’s at the University of Wisconsin and joined Google in 2004. He resigned in 2007 and started an e-commerce site called Oku, which sold for $2.2 million three years later. Pinduoduo followed in 2015. By our math, that $2.2 million is what a move of about two-thirds of one cent in the ADS now does to his stake.

What would move the figure

Each $10 move in the ADS changes the stake by about $3.5 billion (352,436,020 ADS times $10). PDD’s 2025 report says the US ended its low-value import exemption for all countries on August 29, 2025, and that the EU has proposed a duty on low-value parcels. A first dividend, a new share transfer or a sale reported in a filing would change the ledger directly. The 2025 annual report’s ownership table is the next check: we read that report’s total share count, but the part we could open stopped before the holders’ list.
