3Salvador Dali – Don’t limit yourself
If I were to choose a favorite example of a person that stand out of the crowd and wasn’t afraid to be different, that would be Dali.
He believed that his surrealist works – considered strange by many- were destroying anything that could limit his vision, anything that could stand in the way of expressing his creativity.
So maybe we need to look at life through surrealist glasses and see that it is not just what we normally see, there is much room to create anything you want, to be anything you want.
“At the age of six I wanted to be a cook. At seven I wanted to be Napoleon. And my ambition has been growing steadily ever since.”
Next time you find an excuse that is keeping you from becoming the person you want to be, maybe you should reflect on that.
No one was painting strange melting pocket watches before Dali came in, but that didn’t stop him for creating what he had in mind.
