In 2012 the actor emerged from bankruptcy protection and listed his assets at around $26.000. He was able to shift more than $57.000 in liabilities.
Even if Busey made quite a lot of movies, he still had more than $451.000 in tax debt.
Gary’s rep said:
“Gary’s [bankruptcy] filing is the final chapter in a process that began a few years ago of jettisoning the litter of past unfortunate choices, associations, circumstances and events.”
