Full Donald Duck Collection by Gucci Is Here and We are in Awe!
If you follow Jared Leto on Snapchat, you already know that the star is wearing the new Donald Duck collection by Gucci. What are you waiting for?
The Italian luxury brand of fashion and leather goods was founded by Guccio Gucci in Florence in 1921. According to BusinessWeek, in 2008, the company generated about 4.2 million Euros and has seen a significant climb ever since.
Gucci operates in about 278 directly operated stores around the world and it wholesales its products through a bunch of franchises and upscale department stores.
Because of their high quality products the company was ranked 30th most valuable brand in Forbes in 2015.
The company might be a luxury fashion brand, but the Italian brand has recently released a capsule collection inspired by a famous Disney character, the one and only Donald Duck.
The collection was designed by the brand’s current creative director Alessandro Michele, who has been on this position since 2015.
For the Spring 2017 collection, Gucci and Alessandro Michele have released a “Donald Duck” capsule collection, complete with t-shirts, hoodies, crewneck sweaters, varsity jackets and sneakers.
The Donald Duck capsule collection also features everyone favorites three latest garments including a wool sweater, a pullover, and silk-blend bomber jacket.
It adds another fun, quirky dimension to the GUCCI catalogue and we are in love.
The wool sweater comes in a bright red color with a graphic intarsia knit of the Donald Duck character presented on the front side as well as the blue-and-white decorated Gucci applique text on the back.
Then there is the black long-sleeved pullover, which got a special garment made of French terry and bears decorated appliques and printed text graphics.
We go on with the silk-blend bomber jacket, which features two Donald Duck appliques on each side of the chest and complete with a combination of red, blue and white rib knit hems.
The entire collection has about 23 pieces, and it is suitable for teens, and young adults, as most items in the collection are hoodies and T-shirts with Donald in fashionable and playful poses.
This isn’t Gucci first rodeo with Disney-themed collections. They previously worked with Peanuts for a capsule collection. It seems that signing with Disney shows, it is a good strategy for the company.
The pricing for this collection ranges between $200 and $2,210, and you can purchase them at brand’s website.
