5.Mount Sinai, Egypt
One of the world’s most sacred places is Mount Sinai.
Located in the Sinai Peninsula of Egypt, the mountain is considered to be the place where Mosses received the Ten Commandments written on stone tablets from God.
Even though there is not much archaeological evidence, early Christian monks believed that this was the exact place, the account being mentioned in the Bible, Quran and Torah.
Numerous people visit the Mount Sinai to see the holy place where Mosses stood, while religious groups have erected a worship place there.
