We all know that the rich and famous love to collect weird things, because let’s be honest, once you have that much money you can buy anything you want.
But money can also buy you unusual and weird things such as old photographers or Roseville Pottery.

10. Quentin Tarantino- Board Games
The famous director/writer/actor has an unusual collection of board games. I’m sure you saw this coming, because I mean his love for pop culture had to be reflected in his collecting habits.
He went to collect board games because he obviously couldn’t collect women’s feet.
We got the chance to see his collection in an interview he did and where we saw his collection organized by genre.
Among his favorites are Dawn of the Dead and Universe. The latter he claims is “the closest they ever came to an official 2001: A Space Odyssey game.”
But he also owns a Platoon game that in another interview told us that he would like to play a game with Oliver Stone.
We are not sure that happened, but we kind of enjoy his weird side. I mean is a bit more welcoming than women’s feet. It has to be, right?
9. Kiefer Sutherland – Gibson Guitars
First of all, I’m sure you all know about the Gibson Guitar Corporation, the American maker of high-quality and expensive guitars, right?
Second, for those who don’t know who Kiefer is, you my friends are living under a giant rock.
The Canadian actor is best known for his role of Jack Bauer on the Fox series 24.
Well, the star is a dedicated collector of Gibson guitars. Last time he counted, his collection was around the 38th mark, which by anyone’s standard is quite excessive.
Sutherland’s collection of pricy guitars is housed at the studio he set up to help and encourage young people to get into music and start playing.
We love to see celebrities involved into charity and helping people. Good Guy, Jack Bauer!
8. Tom Hanks – Vintage Typewriters
We might know Tom Hanks from his roles in films like Forrest Gump and Captain Phillips, but not many of you knew about his vintage typewriters collection.
Tom Hanks loves his collection of vintage typewriters that much he released an app.
This year, the Academy award-winning actor, released his first app called Hanx Writer.
The use of the app? Simple, it has been designed to realistically replicate the experience of writing on a typewriter, complete with clacking key sounds and a “ping” when you reach the end of a line.
Pretty cool, right? Now, let’s get back to the actual collection.
Tom owns over 300 vintage typewriters in his collection which feature an Olympia Model SM8 German typewriter from the 1960s, a World War II typing machine that he bought for just $45 and many others.
For the most part, pieces of his collection are fully functional, just like it happened with the WWII typewriter on which he spend three times more to fix it.
7. Angelina Jolie — Antique Knives
Angelina Jolie seems like a nice lady to me. I mean she is classy and stylish. But she is also a strong woman.
She was once the wife of Billy Bob Thornton and it was a time when she wore his blood around her neck.
Her collecting habits might have start when she was about 12 years old and her mother bought Angie her first knife.
And now she carried away the tradition and bought her son Maddox his first antique knife when he turned seven.
But we can take look at her antique knives collection that focuses on Renaissance and Medieval knives and daggers.
Apart from knives and daggers she also collects other types of antique knives and swords.
Her husband, Brad Pitt also has an unusual collection of metal art.
6. Whoopi Goldberg – Bakelite Jewelry
This famous actress sure has an unusual collection of Bakelite Jewelry.
The bakelite craze started in the 1970s when Bakelite (a type of plastic) became popular as a material to make toys, buttons, household items, and of course jewelry.
And it seems Whoopi Goldberg loved those jewelries so much that she started collecting them.
More than that, she has been known to wear her Bakelite pieces to events and to The Today Show or to a fancy event like the Academy Awards.

His collection is so big that includes train terminals, parks, warehouses and so on. Every time he got the chance he referred to his collection as “very zen”.
What is even crazier is the fact that he takes some of the trains on tour or builds some of the model elements himself.

Some say that Penelope Cruz owns at least 500 coat hangers. Her bizarre collection may seem weird to you if you don’t know that she is one of the richest celebrity designers.
Because she and her sister design clothing together for Mango and for Agent Provocateur, her unusual collection is not that unusual now.

1. Rosie O’Donnell – McDonald’s Toys
Who said celebrities are supposed to collect only expensive things? Rosie O’Donnell is the one celebrity breaking that unwritten rule.
She broke the rules when she started collecting McDonald’s toys and eventually turned her entire office into a custom display.
Just like kids, she started collection by going to McDonald’s and buying their meals so she could get the toys.
The main reason she visited the fast food is to get her hands on the full collection of 101 tiny Dalmatians dogs from the movie with the same name.
But McDonald’s heard about it and sent her the entire collection but she not only didn’t stop but she moved on to another toy.

When asked why she chose Happy Meal toys, the comedian said they are a simple reminder of her childhood.
