Tomatoes contain lycopene which is an antioxidant that give them their colour-red.

Studies have shown that people that have diets which are rich in tomatoes have a lower risk of developing certain types of cancer, especially cancers of the prostate, lung and stomach.

As for vitamins, tomatoes are also high in vitamin C.
