Another high caloric healthy food is the tasty smoothie.
If you are a fan of the so-called fresh smoothies on the market, you might be wondering why you are gaining weight, you’re just drinking some fruits, right?
If you are not making you own smoothies you might be drinking a lot of extra calories without even realising, the smoothies reaching up to 400 and even 600 calories.
Let’s take for example the Jumba Juice’s Strawberry Surf Rider, it seems pretty healthy, right? The smoothie has:
- 490 calories
- 107 grams of sugars
- 3 grams of protein
- 119 grams of carbohydrates
So, are you making your own smoothie now or keep on buying them?
Even if you decide to make your own, do not make huge portions of it, because, of course, if you drink too much the calories will add up as well. To add vitamins and lower the calories and sugars in your smoothie, add some vegetables as well.
