Another healthy food high in calories is the almighty salad.
And no, lettuce won’t make you fat, neither the tomatoes, but the one item that will, is the salad dressing. And the toppings.
Did you have any idea that a salad can have more than 1000 calories? Just think about it, you have one healthy non-fatting mix of vegetables, and then you start adding croutons, ham, cheese, olive oil, or even worse, a creamy dressing.
If you take into consideration that just 1 tablespoon of olive oil has 120 calories, how about the rest? 2 tablespoons of creamy dressing have around 9 grams of fat.
So if you decide to order a salad instead of steak and fries and you add all these high-caloric foods, you’ve done pretty much nothing. At least you could’ve enjoyed the proteins the steak had, right?
