7.Quinoa
One of the healthy foods that has a lot of calories is quinoa.
This mysterious and healthy food is not a grain, as many people think, but it’s a seed. Full of potassium, protein, and fiber, quinoa is easy to cook, and can be a replacement for oatmeal, a perfect topping to a salad, or it can even be served as a side dish for dinner.
But be careful how you eat it though. If it’s just a tiny part of your meal, and you add other foods as well, calories will add up.
100 grams of cooked quinoa (3.5 ounces, 1/3 cup) have:
- 120 calories
- 21 grams of carbohydrates
- 4.4 grams of protein
- 0.9 grams of sugar
